*About work*

Expressive strokes of crimson red sweep across a warm terracotta ground, interspersed with darker
calligraphic marks and touches of muted yellow. The bold arrangement of colour and line creates a composition full of movement and vitality.

In Crimson Rhapsody, Goh Beng Kwan uses the fluidity of ink to great expressive effect. The gestures are confident and spontaneous, while the underlying earthy tones lend warmth and unity to the painting. Its rich palette and lively brushwork give the work a strong and engaging presence.
