*About work*

Vivid azure blue and deep indigo stand out against a brilliant amber-orange ground, creating a striking contrast of warm and cool colours. Broad, irregular forms overlap with smaller splashes of pigment, giving the composition a strong sense of movement and depth.

Amber and Azure reveals Goh Beng Kwan’s bold approach to colour and abstraction. Despite the intensity of its palette, the composition is held together by a careful interplay of shapes, textures and tonal contrasts. The result is a powerful painting with a distinctive contemporary character.
