Caring For Your Artworks
Regular maintenance is highly recommended for your artwork to remain in good condition.
Here are a few helpful tips:
Place the artwork in a well-ventilated area. Keep away from direct sunlight as it causes colours to fade due to excessive exposure to UV rays
Avoid placing the work in an area where smoke frequents as it causes staining (e.g. kitchen or smoke room)
Keep its surroundings dry as moisture leads to moulding. It could also cause the wood of the frame to soften which easily attracts termites
We recommend stretching your oil painting as they are prone to cracking when rolled up over a long period
Paper-based works should be mounted on rigid backing and framed to avoid damage from mishandling and dirt
Cleaning Methods:
To clean your canvas works, gently dust off the surface with a soft brush *do not use a damp cloth as it can easily damage the work
For paper-based works that are encased in glass, spray a light amount of cleaning solution onto a microfiber cloth. Gently wipe the glass and prevent any excess liquid from seeping in between the nooks of the frame.
