Singapore Cricket Club is one of the premier sports club located at The Padang. It was established in 1852 and is the second oldest club in Singapore. There are 4 pavilions and two wings (the northern wing and southern wing) in the club due to the increase of membership from its patrons.
From 1837 until today, the club has patronised the British community in Singapore, the Japanese during the Japanese Occupation and visitors from all over the world. The club organises games from time to time, hence, liven up the atmosphere at the Padang every year. Besides cricket, the club also houses other sports games such as squash, rugby, tennis and golf.
